Frequently asked questions

Where can I buy DEER grass pavers?

Professionals can purchase DEER grass grid stones directly from our headquarters in Komen (Cobefa) or through one of our authorized dealers in your region. For more information about our dealers, please contact DEER.

What loads can a DEER element carry?

The Grid and Organic lines, reinforced with reinforcement, are ideal for light traffic, parking lots, fire roads, and road widenings. Thanks to the reinforcement, they offer extra strength compared to competing solutions, making them also suitable for occasional heavy traffic. For heavier applications, we offer our Industrial line.

How are DEER grass pavers installed?

It is recommended to install the elements using a special grass grid stone clamp, stone clamp, or border clamp. Due to their dimensions and weight, the elements cannot be manually placed.

How sustainable is the concrete used in DEER?

Our grass grid stones are made from CO2-reduced concrete, consisting of a mix of 50% cement clinker and 50% blast furnace slag. This provides a sustainable choice with a lower ecological impact. Additionally, we continue to actively work on reducing our footprint further for a more sustainable future.

Are technical drawings available?

Yes, you can download all our technical drawings via the ‘Downloads’ tab on our website.

What can I do if I need a different size?

Our products can be easily cut on-site. Make sure during cutting that the reinforcement is properly and carefully worked into the material for a safe and clean finish.

What foundation and subsoil are recommended for DEER?

The load resistance depends on the mechanical strength of the grass grid stone, the strength of the underlying foundation, and the subsoil, as well as the care taken during installation. For more information on foundation and subsoil, please refer to the technical information in our brochure.

Which fillings can a DEER grass paver have?

In terms of fillings, we allow the designer, architect, or customer full freedom in their choice. Commonly used fillings include gravel, pebbles, clover, or grass. These fillings are not provided by DEER.

Do DEER grass pavers retain their color?

To request prices and obtain additional information we invite you to fill in our contact form. Our team is ready to contact you as soon as possible to discuss your creative wishes.

What is the difference between permeability and grass openings?

Permeability is the percentage of the open area compared to the gross area. Grass opening is the percentage of open area measured 20 mm from the upper surface, compared to the gross area.

How smooth/porous are DEER grass pavers?

DEER grass grid stones have a robust and natural texture, so they are not fully smooth concrete elements. This maintains the purity of the concrete element and highlights this feature well.

What is the difference between Grid and Industrial?

A Grid paver is suitable for light traffic and occasional heavy traffic, with dimensions of 1.25 m x 0.63 m. An Industrial paver is designed for heavy traffic, with dimensions of 2 m x 1 m or 2.5 m x 1 m.

Can I combine a small organic paver with a large organic paver?

It is not possible to combine different sizes. Within the same size, for example, a Lily stone can be interlocked with an Organic Straight paver.
